goosebumps in a sunny room, bright yolk breaks from a fried egg and glistens in the sun. the music sounds small in between these walls. long walk, the metro rattles over the river, the water glistens. thick graffiti on the bridges and buildings, thick stones to keep out the cold.
my exhales take on shapes, they keep me company in the still air. my breath weaves around me, wraps me up. and sometimes catches and stings, sometimes comes out with sounds. low moan of deep misunderstanding. what is going on in there, i need to know, what is all twisted up? soft echo of footfalls in the cathedral, deep chill of the ocean in the shade, hard twist of the root through concrete, insistant throb of invisible heart... silent spouse of slow years that race by no longer. remember the ladies, john! i'll bounce my gavel against hard time and watch it bounce back, bounce back. i'll bounce back, bounce back. groom my desires, unchanging. dust them, their defined forms, their cloudy softness.
my neighborhood is bright and vital, it moves and steams and freezes. the butcher smiles wide at me this afternoon as he fixes his rotisserie. go out, to be in it. to approach closer to the expanding everything, must get in get in get in from all sides, take me in from all sides. i don't know what i am until the world hugs closer and proves my angles
